Bandipora, North Kashmir – In a distressing viral video, a man from Bandipora, identifying himself as Noor Mohammad from Baagh, has shared a heartbreaking account of losing approximately ₹1.5 crore to an online betting game called “Aviator.” Now destitute and homeless, he is appealing to the public for financial assistance to help his shattered family.
Noor Mohammad, visibly emotional, explained that his descent into ruin began after his son’s illness post-marriage led to significant medical expenses, depleting his savings. It was during this vulnerable time that someone introduced him to the Aviator game, promising a way out of his financial woes.
“I had everything — a well-constructed house, cars, and a stable life,” Noor recounted in the video. “But after my son fell ill shortly after his marriage, I spent a lot on his treatment. Running low on cash, a person introduced me to a game called Aviator, which changed the course of my life — for the worse.”
Initially, Noor lost his car, valued at ₹8 lakhs, selling it for half its price to continue playing. Despite this significant loss, he persisted, taking out loans and borrowing more money, only to lose it all to the game. In a final, desperate attempt, he sold his house for ₹45 lakhs, his last remaining asset, which also vanished into the game.
Now, with nothing left, Noor states he wanders the streets of Srinagar while his family of six has been scattered. He is appealing to people across the country to help him financially, hoping to pay off his debts and somehow rebuild his life.
In a poignant message to the youth, Noor issued a stern warning: “Please do not repeat my mistake. At first, it may seem rewarding, but in the end, it takes everything from you.”
