J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* today arrested one Bootlegger with 51 Bottles of illicit liquor(Desi) in the Jurisdictional area of P/S Billawar at Ghat Main road Macheedi – Billawar area.
Today Police Party of P/S Billawar under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar and SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq established Naka for checking/Frisking of vehicles at Ghat main road Macheedi towards Billawar. During vehicle checking, one person having two bags in his hand came from Nangala towards Billawar on his feets. On seeing the police party, the said person tried to hide himself. Alert naka party apprehended him. On questioning, he disclosed his name as Raj Kumar S/o Romesh Chander R/o Upper Baggan Tehsil Billawar. On checking of his bags, 40 Quarters 180/180 Ml each and 11 Bottles 375/375 ml each have been recovered from his possession. In this regard a Case FIR No. 76/2025 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at this PS Billawar.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
