Continuing its special drive against wanted criminals and absconders Doda Police has arrested absconder who was evading arrest since last 08 years.
While giving details *SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS* has said that absconder namely Nisar Ahmed S/O Abdul Gani R/o Dooru District Anantnag Kashmir wanted in case FIR No.09/2011 U/s 420/465/ 466/ 467/468/471 IPC which was registered against him in Police station Thathri. After completion of investigation of the case, challan was produced in the court of law. The accused person was declared as absconder and warrant of arrest under section 512 Cr. PC was issued against him by the Hon’ble court of Ld. Judicial Magistrate Thathri on 11-02-2017.
On the directions of SSP Doda, a police team was constituted from PS Thathri led by Inspector Suresh Kumar Gautam SHO PS Thathri. The Police the team so constituted, during search utilized human and technical services and ultimately after hectic efforts the team arrested the absconder from Dooru area of Anantnag District and produced him before the court of law, who has been further lodged in Bhaderwah Jail. Mentionable here that, special drive has been launched by Doda Police and special teams have been constituted at Police Station level for the arrest of absconders/wanted criminals.
