War Against Social Crimes Continue. To eradicate menace of Social Crimes from the society; J&K Police District Ganderbal* arrested *07 Gamblers* in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan & Police Post Shadipora. *Stake Money, J&K Bank Cheques* & *Playing Cards* were seized.
Acting on a reliable information on the directions of SSP Ganderbal *Shri Wasim Qadri-JKPS,* Police Party headed by SHO PS Kangan Shri Mehboob Hussain raided Gamblers at *Akhal,* who were playing Cards in open Maize Fields. On seeing the Police Party, the Gamblers tried to flee from the spot, but Police Party act swiftly and apprehended *05 Accused persons* on the spot alongwith Stake money of *Rs-5600/- & Playing Cards.*
Moreover, in the jurisdiction of PP Shadipora, Police Party led by I/C PP Shadipora Shri Fayaz Ahmad during Patrolling apprehended *02 Gamblers* red-handed, who were found Gambling in the open fields at *Rabitar.* In the course of action, Stake Money of *Rs.4500/-, 12 J&K Bank Cheques amounting Rs.181650/, 01 Blank Cheque and Playing Cards* were seized on the spot.
All the Accused persons were arrested who disclosed their identities as; *Showkat Ah Patlo S/O Mohd Sultan Patlo R/O khanyar Srinagar, Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh S/O Abdul Hameed Sheikh R/O Zampa Kadil Srinagar, Faizan Jon S/O Fayaz Ah R/O Nowa kadil Srinagar, Muzamil Ahmad Khan S/O Mushtaq Ahmad Khan R/O Safa Kadil Srinagar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Rehman Mir R/O Nawa Bazar Srinagar, Ali Muhammad Dar S/O Abdul Ahad Dar R/O Narayan Bagh and Abdul Hameed Parray S/O Gh Hasan Parray R/o Boon Mohalla Hajan.*
In this regard, Case FIR No.s *67 & 214 of 2024* stands registered at PS Kangan & PS Ganderbal and further investigation taken up.
