Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday said that earlier almost every year, Kashmir would witness routine bandh calls and that gone are days when school and colleges would remain closed in the Valley.
He said that hartal calls are a thing of past and now 365 days of a year pass off peacefully with schools and colleges functioning normally every day.
The strength of youth, women & farmers and aspiration of the society are taking J&K to new heights. Together,we have to create viksit Jammu Kashmir in Amrit Kaal & it should be our collective responsibility to ensure every city & village aims higher & realizes their aspirations, the LG said addressing a gathering of students at Amar Singh College Srinagar.
The LG said that Women & Youth are the architects of J&K’s strong and glorious future. The recent reforms and initiatives have brought new momentum to schemes aimed at their empowerment and abundant opportunities for entrepreneurship for a new socio-economic revolution, he said.
