Jammu, August 8: In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police intercepted a suspicious vehicle at Mehmoodpur Naka on Wednesday. A man identified as Rasbinder Singh, a resident of Sainik Colony Jammu, was apprehended after attempting to flee a police checkpoint.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 210 grams of contraband. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against Singh, and investigations are underway to identify his associates.
Senior police officials, including SDPO RS Pura and SHO PS Bishnah, supervised the operation. The seizure has been met with appreciation from the local community, who expressed gratitude for the police’s efforts in combating drug abuse.
