Security forces in north Kashmir’s Handwara district arrested a suspected terrorist associate on Tuesday. During a cordon and search operation in the Bongam Chogul area, authorities apprehended Ashiq Hussain Wani, a resident of Sopore.
In addition to the arrest, security personnel recovered a pistol, a magazine, and seven live rounds from Wani’s possession.
A case has been registered against the accused at the Handwara Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.
