LG Manoj Sinha announces 5 marla land to 17,000 PMAY-G landless tribal beneficiaries in J&K

In a significant announcement, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha pledged to provide five marla land to 17,000 eligible landless tribal beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) scheme. This commitment was made during the ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Saptah’ celebration held at the Convention Centre.

Emphasizing the administration’s dedication to safeguarding the rights and benefits of tribal communities, Sinha stated, “It is our topmost priority to ensure that the tribal population in Jammu Kashmir enjoys equitable benefits of growth.” He further affirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of tribal communities.

Highlighting the administration’s efforts in this regard, Sinha elaborated on the expansion and accessibility of educational opportunities for tribal communities, including the migratory population. He noted that the construction of new tribal hostels, smart schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, coaching facilities for competitive exams, and skill development programs have begun to yield positive outcomes in their overall development.

This initiative reflects the administration’s proactive approach towards empowering tribal communities and bridging the socio-economic disparities in Jammu and Kashmir.
