Lt Governor inaugurates Manufacturing Unit of Superior Polymers India Private Limited at Kathua

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha virtually inaugurated the new manufacturing facility of Superior Polymer India Private Limited in Kathua. He congratulated the Superior Group of Industries, highlighting the project’s potential to boost the local economy and create jobs, thus accelerating the region’s industrial growth.

“This greenfield project is a significant step towards developing Jammu and Kashmir’s manufacturing ecosystem and advancing the ‘Aatmanirbhar J&K’ mission,” stated Lieutenant Governor Sinha.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to industrial development, driven by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He pointed to the creation of a skilled workforce and the empowerment of marginalized communities as key factors in the region’s industrial progress, noting the surge in Handloom and Handicraft exports.

Lieutenant Governor Sinha attributed the increased investor confidence and private investment to the progressive Industrial Policy and strategic interventions implemented in recent years. He noted the positive impact of these efforts, with numerous industrial units becoming operational and more investments in the pipeline.

The new unit, with an investment of Rs 75 crore, is expected to generate hundreds of employment opportunities.

The virtual event was attended by Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Department; Dr Arun Kumar Manhas, Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu; Pradeep Agrawal, Chairman, Superior Group of Industries; Vishal Agrawal, Vice Chairman; Ashish Sethi, CEO; Dr Sunil Kumar Mishra, Chief Human Resource Officer, and other members of Superior Group of Industries and Superior Polymer India Private Limited. Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, and other officials joined virtually.
