Norway conveyed its solidarity with India following the April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in 26 fatalities. Union Earth Sciences Minister Jitendra Singh reported this support came from Norwegian Minister of International Development, Asmund Grover Aukrust, during their meeting in Monaco, France, held alongside the Monaco Marine Conference.
Singh stated in an X post, “Ahead of the Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) Meet, #Norway Minister of International Development, Mr Asmund Grover Aukrust, conveyed his country’s solidarity with India, in the light of the deplorable happenings in #JammuAndKashmir in recent weeks.” The Norwegian minister also noted a strong public sentiment in Norway favoring India, with many citizens hoping for a visit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
