The Jammu and Kashmir government has disclosed that 2,093 kanals of land have been allocated to non-local investors for industrial development between January 1, 2023, and December 12, 2024. This information was provided in a written response to a question raised by PDP MLA Waheed-ul-Rehman Para.
Breakdown of Land Allocation:
- Kathua (SIDCO Industrial Estate):
- M/s RSWM Limited: 275 kanals
- M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-I): 222 kanals
- M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-II): 424 kanals (Bhagthali-I)
- M/s Advance Films Pvt Ltd: 201 kanals (Bhagthali-II)
- M/s GreenquestAlu Foils Pvt Ltd: 201 kanals (Bhagthali-II)
- M/s Haldiram Snacks Manufacturing Plant: 201 kanals (Bhagthali-II)
- M/s Sintex Advances Plastic Ltd: 209 kanals (Bhagthali-II)
- M/s Ceylon Beverages Can Pvt: 206 kanals (Bhagthali-II)
- Srinagar (Medicity Semporas):
- M/s Megna Waves Build Tech Pvt Ltd (EMAAr Group-UAE): 30 kanals
- M/s Megna Waves Buildtech Pvt Ltd (EMAAr Group UAE): 100 kanals
- Jammu (Exhibition Ground):
- M/s Magna Waves Buildtech Pvt Ltd: 24 kanals.
Total Land Transferred for Industrial Estates:
- Jammu Division: 6,014 kanals and 10 marlas
- Kashmir Division: 5,532 kanals and 19 marlas
Clarification on Other Land Transfers:
The government clarified that no land was transferred to public or private authorities for purposes other than the establishment of industrial estates during the specified two-year period.
