A police patrol team led by PSI Vinay Kumar, In-charge of BPP Badyal Brahmana, was conducting routine surveillance within their jurisdiction. At approximately 6:55 PM, credible information was received indicating that two individuals, Rahul Kumar (son of Ramesh Lal) and Manshu Kumar (son of Tarsem Lal), both residents of Ward No. 1, Bhore Chatha, Satwari, were armed with sharp weapons and were loitering near the Tawi River in Badyal Brahmana.
Acting on this information, the police team promptly proceeded to the designated area and apprehended the two suspects. During a search, the officers recovered three sharp-edged weapons, commonly known as “tokas,” from their possession.
A formal case, FIR No. 235/2024, has been registered at the RS Pura police station under Sections 3(5) of the BNS Act and 4/25 of the Arms Act. The investigation into this matter is currently underway.
