As part of its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, Pulwama Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized a substantial quantity of contraband at Aliepora Crossing.
A naka party of Police Post Lassipora, while conducting checking at Aliepora Crossing, intercepted a suspicious individual. The suspect attempted to evade the naka but was promptly apprehended by the alert police personnel. During his personal search, a heroine-like substance weighing approximately 94.5 grams was recovered from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmed Patloo, son of Abdul Aziz Patloo, resident of Arwani, Bijbehara. He was immediately taken into custody.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 47/2025 under Sections 8/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and further investigation has been initiated.
