Reasi Police have swiftly resolved a recent theft case, arresting the perpetrator and recovering the stolen property. On March 8, 2025, Sanjay Kumar of Talwara reported the theft of tyres from his shop.
Following the filing of FIR No. 40/2025 under Section 303(2) BNS at Police Station Reasi, an immediate investigation commenced. Utilizing technical assistance, police apprehended Sanjay Kumar, son of Vakeelu, from Goswan Gran More. During interrogation, he confessed to the theft, leading to the recovery of the stolen tyres.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of SHO Reasi, Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, with supervision from Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi, Vishal Singh Jamwal, and guidance from Addl. SP Reasi, Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS.
SSP Reasi, Paramvir Singh, JKPS, stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine if the accused is connected to other thefts in the district. He indicated that further arrests and recoveries are possible.
