Army on Wednesday said that two infiltrators were killed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“In a successful anti-infiltration operation, alert troops of the #IndianArmy eliminated two terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control. Swift action and accurate firepower thwarted the nefarious designs. Three weapons have been recovered,” said a spokesman of Army, in a post on X.
“Synergistic and synchronised intelligence inputs from own intelligence units and #JKP led to a successful operation,” it added.
Earlier, an army official said that a fierce exchange of gunfire took place after the soldiers challenged a group of terrorists trying to sneak in near a forward post in the Kalsiyan area.
