On 29/04/2025, Police Udhampur received a complaint from one Parshotam Kumar S/O Ashanand R/O Ballian, Udhampur stating therein that some unknown thieves have broken the lock of Bagla Mukhi mandir main bagh Udhampur and steal silver idols and cash from donation box.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 145/2025 under relevant section of law stands registered in PS Udhampur.
Taking the cognizance of the matter, the special police team led by SHO PS Udhampur was formulated to solve the case and nab the culprits. During the investigation several suspects were rounded up by the police team and put to sustained questioning. During which one suspect namely Rahul Sharma S/O Hans Raj R/O W.No. 17 near Santoshi Mata Mandir Udhampur confessed his involvement in the said case and has been arrested by the Police team.
On the confession of the said accused, stolen property has been recovered by the police team.
