In Jammu, a brave rescue unfolded on Tuesday. Locals pulled a 21-year-old woman from the Tawi River after she jumped from a bridge.
Police say the woman was walking across the bridge connecting Jewel Chowk and Bikram Chowk when she suddenly jumped into the fast-moving water. Thankfully, bystanders reacted quickly and were able to save her.
The woman was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital. Authorities are still trying to determine why she jumped, and a police investigation is ongoing.
